It is with great sadness that we, the family of Bob Rose, from Campbelldale Road, Grand Mira South, must announce his sudden passing with his partner, Trish and brother/best friend, Stan by his side on Thursday, June 23, 2022.
He was born February 12, 1947, in Newfoundland, to Angela “Dot and Herbert Rose.
Bob is survived by his partner, Patricia MacLeod; daughter, Kathy (Russell) MacLeod; and sons, Calvin Rose (AnnDelynn MacDougall) and Robert (Theresa) Rose; and the mother of his children, Karen MacDonald. He was a wonderful Poppy to eight grandchildren, Caitlyn (Johnny), Jodie, Victoria (Sam),Jamie (Chris), Natalie, Morgan, Madeleine and Mhairi. Also left to mourn are several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews across Canada.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 3-5 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 5 p.m. with Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
