Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our dear husband and father Robert Luane Moulton on October 11, 2022, in Edson, Alberta at the age of 46.
Bob will forever be remembered and missed by his wife Angela, son Brandon, parents Roger and Debbie Moulton, sisters Heather Moulton and Glenda (Josh) Martens, in-laws Wilbur and Marg Apoll, brother in-laws Aaron (Amanda) Apoll, Reuben (Cathy) Apoll, Jeremy (Courtney) Apoll, as well as his nieces and nephews Haley and Emma Nelson, Jordyn and Camryn Martens, Cameron, Riley and Logan Apoll, Tucker Gray, Mason and Oliver Apoll and Emily and Andrew Apoll.
Bob was born on January 13, 1976, in Fort Macleod, Alberta. As a young child, he enjoyed biking with friends, spending time at the Moulton family farm, going on trips to Glen Lake, and helping his dad at the shop. In 1990, his family moved to Edson for a short time where Bob stayed and graduated in 1994. He enjoyed hunting and curling, and even won the curling provincials for Juniors in 1993. Bob met Angela Apoll through friends in Edson. They eventually started dating, fell in love, and were married in July 1998. Bob was a hard worker and earned his Journeyman Electrician certificate in 2002. As a up and coming electrician with the drive to succeed, he spent a lot of time in the oilfield and industrial sectors, working for companies like Syntech, Conoco and Tarpon, where he developed many good working relationships and friends. Bob and Angela moved to Edmonton for a short time to help Powercomm build and develop the Shell Scotford plant that supplies refined oil and gas for western Canadians. Later Bob and Angela picked up and moved back to Edson after they welcomed their son Brandon into their lives in January 2005. Bob was proud of his son and worked hard to provide for his family. He enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, quadding, and spending time with family and friends around the campfire. Bob enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, Costa Rica, and Mexico, where he and Angela spent some very memorable vacations as a couple. As a family, they enjoyed summer vacations with Bob’s family in Kalispell, Montana, kayaking, tubing, knee boarding and catching turtles. One particularly fond memory was when he swam across the lake and around the island with his nieces and everyone else in tow on kayaks or paddleboards. The family also made some wonderful memories on their trip to Disneyland in 2018. Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad rides were a favorite. Bob was very excited to visit Legoland with Brandon as they both shared a love for building Lego. Universal Studios was another fun stop as Bob was excited to show Brandon the Transformers he loved and was amazed by the 4D Harry Potter ride.
Bob loved dogs, and often talked about his childhood dog Mick. Bob and Ang got their first dog Minnie just after they were married, and Bob’s true companion, Frankie, joined the family 10 years later. He was a quiet man that enjoyed movies and the simpler things in life. He was loved and will truly be missed.
A private service will be held at the family’s request.
In lieu of floral tributes, people are encouraged to donate to the Edson Animal Rescue Society or charity of your choice.
“You will be in our hearts, forever and always”
