SIM: Robert Larry, 74, of R.R. #3 Embro passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born in Woodstock on April 19, 1948 a son of the late Joseph and Julia (Duncan) Sim.
He had worked at Firestone/Bridgestone Corporation for 37 years where he was a supervisor. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sebastopol-Tavistock.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rosalynd Jean (Van Horne) Sim, whom he married at Walkerton on July 5, 1969; three children, Andrew Sim (Karen), Allison Sim (Karl), Kimberly “Kim” Ross (Jon); eight grandchildren, Brendan McGrath (Emily), Riley McGrath, Noah Sim, Julia Sim (Sean), Aaron Sim, Brodie Ross, MacKenzie Ross, Brooklyn Ross; two great grandchildren, Bryer and Payton McGrath; his brother, Clarke Sim (Sue), his sister, Audrey Shearer; his sister-in-law, Marlene Sim.
He was predeceased by his brother, Bill Sim; his sister, Marie Brown; his brother-in-law, Jim Shearer.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday September 2, 2022 at 11.00 a.m. Pastor Bonnie Shelter Brown will officiate. Fellowship following.
