Robert (Bob) George Evans
Nov 8, 1947 – Oct 10, 2022
Born in Montreal to Olive and Robert Evans, Bob moved to Alberta during a time of turmoil in Quebec (1974). There, with his wife and three girls, he became a journeyman plumber/pipefitter. A union man, (Local 496) his work took him to many places across Canada including Gibson’s, where he settled in 1990. Later, Bob became a journeyman crane operator (Local 115), a job he enjoyed a great deal.
Bob loved the ocean, boating, traveling, spending time with friends and family and he shared these things with his partner Jacquie, whom he met in 1993. They had 29 wonderful years together, spending their winters in Mexico over the past 10 years.
“Who has more fun than people?’ he often asked.
Bob passed away in his home, surrounded by his loving family on Oct. 10, 2022.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Robert and Olive and his nephew, Christopher.
He is survived by siblings Ron (Audrey) & family and Joy (Lynn) & family
Partner Jacquie and first wife Gina.
His Children Christine, Lynda (Dwayne), Wendy (Cleve), Andrew, Jennifer (Mike).
His grandchildren Cody (Janice) & family, Michael, Reno (Lynn) & family, Robert, Samantha (Jeff) & family, Joseph (Kaitie) & family and Kari (Aaron) & family.
Bob was also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Thank you to his palliative care team for all the compassion they showed to Bob and his family.
