Robert Earl Houle, March 18, 1943 to June 25, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Earl Houle. Beloved husband of the late Agnes (nee McInnis) Houle predeceased July 1, 2004. Cherished son of Alf and Rose (Belanger) Houle both predeceased. Loving sibling to predeceased Mildred Bondensen, Eileen Cote (Gil predeceased), Donald Houle (Rita), Lloyd Houle, Jack Houle, Allan Houle (Gloria). Survived by Conrad Houle (Sheila), Leatha Lloyd (Gerald), and Linda Donivan (Tom). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Robert, better known to everyone as Bobby, was a man who cherished both his family and friends. His door was always open to anyone who wanted to stop by to talk and have a coffee. He loved his dear wife Aggie, and they spent many happy days together, especially at their camp which was Bobby’s pride and joy. With the help of family and friends he built a camp, that just like hone, was always open to those who wanted to come and stay awhile. Bobby had a long and fulfilling career at INCO that spanned several decades. It was here that he made friendships that lasted a lifetime. They spent many trips together at his camp, hunting and fishing, and also had a breakfast club where they met once a week to stay in touch. Besides his family and friends, Bobby’s dogs always held a special place in his heart. If he was sitting in his chair, there was a good chance that one of his dogs would be either on his lap or close by. He leaves behind his beautiful dog Maggie, who now lives with his niece Diane and is doing very well at the age of 14. This past year was a difficult one for Bob but was made easier by the love and care of his family and friends. Special mention to his many friends who were always there for him. His dear friend Ernie and Pat, Ernie who never missed a day checking on his best friend making sure he was okay. His friends Jack and Myrtle and Carn and Flo were always there with a meal or to lend a helping hand. As per Bobby’s request there will only be a funeral mass, to be held at Holy Redeemer Church, 1187 Bancroft Dr., Sudbury, Wednesday, July 6th, 2022, at 10AM. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Parklawn Cemetery. Donations to the Diabetes Society would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
