Robert (Bob) Wayne Poore died peacefully on Saturday March 12th, after a courageous battle with Alzheimers. Robert was born on October 26, 1942 to the late Helen and Robert Poore.
Survived by his wife, Lois, of 51 years, children Shianne (Ian) , Shane ( Michelle) and Kari; grandchildren Riley, Nate and Abby; and sisters Linda and Cecelia (Ola).
Bob worked for NB Power for 35 years as a Linesman. He took great pride in his work, and worked many long days/ nights but always made time to be there for our event, sports, etc. Dad enjoyed playing sports his whole life from softball to hockey, and enjoyed being out in the woods hunting with lifelong friends. Giving back to the community through his church, or helping a neighbor in need was very important to Dad. He loved his family and would do anything for them, but also never passed up a teachable moment for us kids. Having grandchildren brought him so much joy, from teaching them to fish, throw a ball, to just enjoy the exuberance of having children around.
The family has decided, in lieu of visitation, to have an old fashioned wake at Bob and Lois’s home in Keswick Ridge on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 2pm to 7pm. Bob loved his home in Keswick and we think it is fitting for us to all say our goodbyes to Dad in a place so near and dear to his heart. A private family funeral will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the Alzheimers society or All Saints Anglican Church.
Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home & Crematorium (339-6612). Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca
