Robert Harrison Chafe (Bobby Rasher)
Passed away peacefully on November 27, 2022, after a brave and courageous fight.
Predeceased by wife Carol Ann Chafe, his parents Fred and Cavelle Chafe, his son Troy Abbott, sister Christine Chafe, brothers: Harrison, David and Freddie Chafe, and nephews; Jamie Chafe and Rodney Quinlan.
Leaving to mourn, his devoted partner Marie Foley, loving daughter Lacey (Jeff) Coish, and precious granddaughter Brooklyn Coish whom he adored so much. Marie’ s children: Wendy Walsh (Marc Harris) and Casey Harris, with whom he shared a special bond, Roger (Danielle) Walsh and their children, Leah and Dylan. Carol Ann’s daughters: Anita (Andreau) Connors, Jennifer Ryan (Gary Brown) and Judy Ryan (Jeff) and their families.
Special sister Daphne Chaulk (Austin), brothers: Reg (Ann) Chafe, Derrick (Jean) Chafe and all his niece’s and nephews. Special friends Jimmy Everard, Billy (Big Bill) Chafe, Boyd Chafe, Murray (Hilda) Lee, Robert Clarke, Gord Whiteway, Laverne Hutchings, Ken (Sylvia) Rowsell, Reg Best and all his wharf buddies in Petty Harbour.
Bob enjoyed life to the fullest, on the open water is where he loved to be. Fishing wasn’t just a way of life but was life for Bob. He was a gentle man with a heart of gold, and he will be dearly missed by so many.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 30 from 11am-9pm from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Funeral service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, Petty Harbour on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2pm. Burial to take place at a later date.
