Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Robert “Bob” Aucoin announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, August 28th, 2022 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital at the age of 78 years.
He was predeceased by: parents Simon & Maize Aucoin and a large circle of extended relatives and friends.
Robert leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife of 45 years Joan; his children: daughter Aimee (Jeff) and son Sheldon (Reanne); and cherished granddaughters: Payton & Charlotte. Also leaving to mourn: special co-worker and dearest friend Fred Reid; Tanya McIsaac whom he loved dearly; his Inuvik family; and a large circle of family and friends.
Following his wishes cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 5th from 7:00-9:00 PM at Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 6th at 2:00 PM from St. Stephen’s Parish. Interment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to St. Stephen’s Parish or to Daffodil House.
The family would like to send a very special thank you to Dr. Atwood, the emergency department staff and the nurses at the Palliative Care Unit for their professional and compassionate care. You kindness will be remembered always.
