It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Nonni and Grand Nonni, Rita Rose Stortini who was born April 6, 1931 in Windsor, Ontario. The daughter of Josephine and William Beneteau, both predeceased, sister Phyllis McCann, Doris Fraser predeceased, and brother Gary predeceased and Bill. Loving mother of Timothy, wife Ruth, Denise Partner Dean Young, and Mark, wife Heather. Nonni to Zachery, wife Desirée Stortini, Samantha Stortini, Matthew and Camille Bortolotto, Imogene and Sydney Stortini. Rita was also blessed with a great grandson, Francesco Stortini. Rita’s greatest joy was the love of her family. Rita’s eyes would light up each and every time she got a phone call from her grandchildren, it meant the world to her, and she was the rock of the family. We thank all extended family members and dear friends for being so kind to our mother throughout her entire life, know that she cared for you as much as you cared for her. Thank you to all the staff in the emergency department at Health Sciences North, for their kindness and professional care given to our mom. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Nonni we miss you already, but we know one day we will all be together. Memorial service in the R.J Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.
