Obituary
Ranger, Rita- The family announces the peaceful passing of Rita Ranger (nee Deschamps) at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 95 years old. Predeceased by her cherished husband Roland Ranger and loving mother of Armand – predeceased, Richard (Marlene), Claire (Andy) Garreau, Jane, Denise (Grant) Burton, Henrietta – predeceased, Denis (Karie), Madelaine (Greg), Gilbert – predeceased, Thomas (Tracie), and Louis (Michele). Beloved daughter of the late Eugene and Oliva Deschamps and sisters, Ida, Margarite, Jeanne, Helen, Anita, Theresa and brothers Napoleon, Lorenzo, and Joseph.
She will be sadly missed by her surviving sisters, Desneige Cote (nee Deschamps), Marie Tremblay (nee Deschamps) and twenty-six grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Thank you to the Para-Med team and VON. A very special thank you to Debbie from Para-Med who was always very kind and thoughtful to our mother every week. She really enjoyed their talks together.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and visiting with her children and sisters.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who took very good care of our mother in her final hours. As per her request cremation at Hillside funeral home, no visitation, and memorial service at the cemetery in the spring. If desired donations to the Cancer Society and Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
