GROLWAY, Rita Ann – Passed away peacefully at Starwood Lodge on Monday, December 30, 2019 in her 89th year. Grolway, Rita Ann passed away peacefully at Starwood Lodge on Monday, December 30, 2019 in her 89th year. Rita Grolway (nee Gagnon) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Grant Joseph Grolway. Loving mother of Debra, David (Shelley), Cathy (Mike). Rita was blessed with her Grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Matthew, Courtney, Nicholas and 14 Great Grandchildren. Also, left to mourn are in-laws Ray(Claudia) and Mary(Clayton) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased her parents, John Gagnon & Annie Fitzpatrick, as well as brothers, John and Lorne and sisters, Margaret, Grace and Theresa. Mom started her career in 1952 after graduating from Lorrain School of Nursing. She was always caring for not only her family but many others. In keeping with Mom’s wishes she has been cremated.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Pembroke on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment of Ashes in St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish located at 280 Lourdesview Drive, Pembroke, ON or to the Dementia Society of Renfrew County, 116 – 16 Edward Street S., Arnprior, ON or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
