The family announces with great sorrow his sudden tragic death on Meteor Lake, Sunday, September 4, 2022 at the young age of 11 years. Cherished and adored son of Jennifer Poirier (Nathan Badour) of Hanmer and Jason Salemink (Liane Chevrier) of Val Caron. Dear brother of Karsen Deschenes, Ethan Badour, Kayden Badour and Tate Badour. Loving grandson of Mike and Cathy Poirier, John and Gail Salemink all of Val Caron, Robert and Liliane Chevrier of St-Charles, and great-grandson of predeceased Theresa Sangelais. Survived by his uncles, Mikey Poirier (Kass), Eric Poirier (Amanda) both of Hanmer, Alain Chevrier of St-Charles and predeceased by his uncle Todd Salemink. His cousins Méline, Zack, Allison, Autumn, Graham and Ryann. Sadly, missed by many friends, as well as by his canine companions Molly and Milo. Riley was a proud hockey player of the NCHA, he enjoyed playing soccer, riding his dirt bike but his passion was fishing. He rarely missed an opportunity to fish with family and friends.
