Richard James Morden 1933 2022

Obituary of Richard James Morden
Morden, Richard James – beloved husband for 67 years to Roberta (nee Allen), has passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 4th, 2022, in his 89th year. He was predeceased by his daughter Pamela and is survived by his son Christopher (Diane) and his granddaughters Hilary (Ben) Corinne and Andrea (Kaiyang). He was thrilled to welcome 4 great-grandchildren to his clan- the most recent arriving 12 days before his passing.
Richard spent most of his life in Belleville with a brief absence to acquire a wife, daughter, and an Engineering degree at UNB. He returned to Belleville to work at Wilson Concrete and eventually establish R. Morden Engineering & Contracting. He was involved in tennis, golf, curling, and sailing over the years and took great joy in enjoying his rural property and having a good dog at his side. His great sense of optimism finally emerged when he acquired a new puppy at the age of 86.
Cremation has taken place and visitation and celebration of life will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at 2:30 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
