Obituary of Richard Gordon Lindsay
DURHAM – Richard Gordon Lindsay, 73, Durham, formerly of Old Ridge, N.B., passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 11, 2022, in the Aberdeen Hospital, ICU, New Glasgow surrounded by the love of his family.
Born March 22, 1949, in St. Stephen, N.B., he was a son of the late Elbridge Lindsay. Richard was a graduate of the Maritime Ranger School, Fredericton. He was employed with Stora Enso Woodland Division as a Forestry Supervisor until retirement. Richard was an adoring grandpa, loving father, and devoted husband.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Linda Jean (McAllen); son, Kevin Lindsay, Halifax; Melissa (Troy) MacWilliams, Fall River; grandson, Ashton MacWiliams, Fall River; sisters, Marie Denyer, St. Stephen; Janice (Carl) Huczel, Flamborough, Ont.; brother, Eugene (Gloria) Lindsay, Old Ridge; sisters-in-law, Claudia McAllen, Hampshire, P.E.I.; Andrea (Paul) Ellery, Winnipeg, Mann.; Gail McAllen, Rollingdam, N.B.; brothers-in-law, Royden McAllen, Amherstburg, Ont.; Paul (Nancy) McAllen, Rollingdam; Jamie (Jill) McAllen, St. Stephen; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Richard’s wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
