Richard Wood
1950-2022
RIVERVIEW, NB – Richard Wood, 71, of Riverview
passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, April
20th, 2022. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he was
the son of the late Gordon Killam and the late Irene Wood. Before
retiring, Richard worked as a loading dock supervisor for the Moncton
Times & Transcript (Brunswick News).
Richard leaves to mourn his loving wife, Beverly Wood
(Burns); his two daughters, Deena Wood (Serge Richard) of Moncton and
Shannon Yorke (Daniel) of Parrsboro, NS; as well as his two
step-grandchildren, Cara and Casey Yorke.
Richard will also be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles,
nieces, nephews and all of his extended family and friends, as well as
by several fur babies.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, Richibucto
on Monday, May 2nd, 2022 from noon until time
of the funeral service. A funeral service will be celebrated on
Monday, May 2nd, 2022 at 2:00pm,
Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto, followed by
interment at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Cemetery,
Rexton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory
made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation www.heartandstroke.ca
, to the Canadian Diabetes Association www.diabetes.ca
, or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated
by the family.
