On August 25, 2022, Mr. Richard Pytel of Sherwood Park, formerly of Fort St. John, B.C., passed away at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Freda; 2 daughters, Charlene (Jack) Broyles of Sherwood Park & Jo-Anne (Paul) Rondeau of Fort St. John, B.C.; daughter-in-law, Tatjana of Vancouver, B.C.; grandchildren, Adara Marie & Lukas Broyles & Cainan Rondeau; brother, Milton (Elaine) of Edmonton; sisters-in-law, Claudette (Keith) Scott, Linda (Norman) Woroschuk, Stella (Brian) Callender & Wanda (Jess) Fithen; brothers-in-law, Perry (Betty) Guinup, Raymond (Vivian) Guinup & Bill Kuncio; numerous nieces & nephews. Mr. Pytel was predeceased by his parents, Jack & Mary Pytel; son, Richard Pytel Jr.; father- & mother-in-law, Claude & Etna Guinup; brothers, Frank & Roger Pytel; sister, Lorna Kuncio; nephews, Keith Scott & Jonathan Callendar. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Mallaig Baptist Church, Mallaig. Pastor Owen Isaacson will be officiating, with interment in the church cemetery. Richard was an avid fishmaner & hunter as well as a handyman. He enjoyed baseball (pitching), the outdoors, camping & Ukrainian food. Richard loved his job as an automotive salesman. He was a great father to his children & daughter-in-law. He also loved travelling, especially seeing where his daughter-in-law is from in Serbia.
