In addition to his father, Rick was predeceased by
his first wife, Pam, the mother of his children, an infant sister
Vicki, and a brother Stephen.
The family would like to thank Dr. Hudson, Dr. Chinnathurai,
and Dr. Pam Mansfield for their honesty and understanding. Thanks also
to Extra Mural Driscoll Unit for their patience, knowledge and
unwavering support with helping Rick stay home until the end. Special
thanks to Natalie Ross for her help when Rick was admitted to hospital
for pain management. Thanks also to Rick’s work buddies who kept his
spirits up; specifically, Jean Marc Thibodeau, Perry Gallant, Kevin
McLellan and Bruce McLean. Your visits meant the world to him. And it
goes without saying that we thank all of our friends, family who have
reached out, brought food (Cathy MacDonald…he loved that creme
brulee), came to visit or even called and/or sent an encouraging text
or email. We couldn’t have done any of this without all of
your support. We love you all.
