Tributes
LABRECQUE, RICHARD JOSEPH ROBERT (DICK)
With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved brother Richard at the Glebe Center on Friday, July 1, 2022, after a brief struggle with cancer.
He was born on Sept. 26, 1955, in Kingston, ON. He was predeceased by his father Lucien Labrecque (July 1991) and by his mother Anita Dinelle-Labrecque (July 2021). He leaves behind his doting sisters, Suzanne Burns (Robert) Westbank, B.C., Rachel Ellsworth (Edward) Hallville, ON., and Sylvia Eichinger (Richard) Stoney Creek, ON. Nieces and nephews Tim, Christine, Katherine, Sarah, and Curtis. Great-nephews and niece Jake, Carter, and Sydney.
He was a long-time employee of Colonial Furniture. His athletic skills served him well on the ball field with all his fellow CT buddies. A more devout fan of the “Habs” and the “Cowboys” would be hard to find and if they weren’t in the playoffs, it was “Over”.
The sisters would like to thank the staff and residents of the Glebe Centre for their care, support, and love for their bro for the past 12 years. He was fortunate to have had 2 forever best friends in Tom and Brian (dec’s) with whom he shared too many adventures and laughs to recount or to retell.
Friends are invited to attend the memorial service for Richard on Wednesday, July 6th at 2pm at the Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Rd.
