It is with sorrow the family of Richard “Rick”
Dickerson announce his passing at the Charlotte County Hospital, St.
Stephen, N.B. on Friday, August 5, 2022.
Born in 1959, Rick was a son of the late Richard A. and
Evelyn (Glidden) Dickerson. His mother Evelyn passed when Ricky was
two years old and Rose (Richard) Dickerson filled his mothers shoes
and raised him and his siblings.
Our Dad, Rick lived his life to the fullest. He was
a hardworking carpenter and always took pride in his work. He worked
many years at all the wood mills that were in town. The smell of cedar
in our home is unforgettable. You can drive by so many yards and see
his home-made garbage bins.
He loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with his friends
and family. He raised his children to be brave and strong and to never
give up when times got tough.
After being diagnosed with cancer and a short
hospital stay, Dad was able to come home where Maria and Kyle were
able to care for him until he had to return to the hospital the end of
July. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to
friends, Melva and Randy Gregory for helping us keep Dad home as long
as we could by checking in on him daily.
Taken too soon, Ricky is survived by his two beloved
children, Adam Dickerson, Maria Dickerson (Kyle Guitard),
grandchildren, Summer, Brooke, Solara, Hanna, Jackson, Aubree and
Skyrea, brothers and sisters, Tammy, Kim, Trudy, Peggy, Blain,
Roseann, Tommy and Serena, also many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, Evelyn and Richard, he was
predeceased by his wife, Darlene.
He was an amazing man, a great husband, father, grandfather,
brother and uncle, he will always be loved and cherished in the hearts
of many.
A graveside service will be held at the Moores Mills
Cemetery, Moores Mills, N.B. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 1:30
PM.
You were the one true man I
could count on to be there through out my whole life. Rest easy Dad, I
love you!
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Richard K Dickerson 1959 2022..
