Richard Dick Dale Campbell April 27 1943 – July 19 2022

Richard was born in New Westminster, B.C., the 4th child of George and Elizabeth (Betty) Campbell (nee Kitts). He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Kenneth Campbell, and his brother-in-law, John Newman. Richard leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Burrell; his brother, Ian Campbell (Jean); his sister Monica Newman. He also leaves nieces, nephews, and cousins for some of whom he was a surrogate father.
Richard was raised on a dairy farm and attended school in Langley and Aldergrove before studying Criminology at Simon Fraser University. He joined B.C. Corrections, working at Alouette River Unit, and was a Probation Officer in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver for many years.
A resident of Burnaby for 46 years Richard was a wonderful husband; an avid gardener; a world-traveler; and loyal friend and neighbor to many. He is greatly missed.
