Richard (Dick) Charest, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the age of 75.
Born in Port Arthur, ON, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mary (Krejick) Charest. He was a welder and underground miner and a member of St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Connie Charest of Miramichi; daughter Crystal Charest (Kyron) of Miramichi; son Robin Charest of Miramichi; two grandchildren Moxx and Nixon Manderson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters Patricia Pang and Lorraine Charest.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Monday, July 11, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 2 pm, from St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Peter officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Extra Mural Program or to the Miramichi Regional Hospital CCU.
