Richard de Jong August 24 1955November 1 2022

Obituary
Loving husband of Beverly and brother of Linda Winslow, Richard passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer. He will be sadly missed by Daryl (brother-in-law), Karen (sister-in-law), Dave (brother-in-law) and nephews Evan, Sean and Derek. Richard is predeceased by his parents Janny and Leo de Jong.
Richard was an innovative intelligent unassuming man who was genuine and enthusiastic in everything he shared. His skills in computer technology found him many clients and friends over the years.
His biggest passion, motorcycling, took him and Bev on journeys across North America and Europe. He loved to ride and no place was ever too far or too short. He continually scouted out roads for his friends and he did this quietly and never looked for praise or special attention. His motorcycling skills lead to working with Iron Works Productions to carry the lead cameraman at Ironman Triathlons and other events including the Invictus Games, Raptors Parade and Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathons.
Another passion was scuba diving and he added underwater photography so Bev could also enjoy and share his experiences with undersea life.
He takes great memories with him and has left great memories with his family, friends and colleagues. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
