William Thomas (Tommy) Muncey
December 15, 1956 – April 1, 2022, age 65, finished well after a two-year battle with cancer.
Tommy accepted his calling to preach the gospel at the age of seventeen & was ordained as a minister at the age of nineteen. He has pastored and served at many churches throughout the years. Pastor of New Antioch Missionary Baptist Church for the last five years. He loved preaching God’s word and telling others about Jesus.
Tommy was a gifted musician, singer & songwriter. At an early age, he began traveling & singing with his sisters as the Muncey Family. When daughter Candy began singing, they started singing as Tender Heart. He later traveled, played music and sang with various groups. Tommy was well known for his style of piano playing. God blessed him with an ear for music. Tommy was known to always make people laugh. He was loved by many.

Preceded in death by: parents, Basil & Helen Muncey; grandson, Tucker Nolan Howard; sisters, Patricia Ealy & Fosteen Laney.
Survived by: Loving wife of 45 years, Kimberly (Laycock) Muncey; daughter and son-in-law, Candace (Ray) Scarbrough; granddaughter, Anna (Blake) Hunley; grandson, Ethan Howard; great granddaughter, Oakley Faye Hunley; sisters, Diane (Robert) Harrison, Judy Cline and Kathleen Hicks; brother, Charlie (Betsy) Muncey; brothers and sister in laws, Tina (Ricky) Bull, Gene (Dawn) Laycock and Darryl Laycock. He loved his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm, Monday April 4, 2022 at Bridges Funeral Home with services at 7:00pm with Minister Mike Lee and Minister Jonathon Grills officiating. Family and friends will meet at Bridges Funeral Home at 10:00am to proceed to Roseberry Baptist Church Cemetery for a 11:00am burial.
