Obituary of Rev. Evelyn G. Bowers
In her 100th year, at Michael Garron Hospital Evelyn passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, whom she loved and served with all her heart.
Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Clara (Doxtator) and Milton Bowers, and sisters Mable (Trawley) and Hazel (Gordon). Survived by step-sister Dorothy Hudgins and her family of Belleville, as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins, many good friends and dear friend Bonnie.
Evelyn was an ordained Pastor with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada serving the Lord in Newfoundland, Belleville, Toronto-PAOC Head Office in the Women’s Ministries/Missionettes department. In retirement she served on staff at Flemingdon Park Pentecostal Church and volunteered at Agincourt Pentecostal Church (Clairlee Satellite) in Scarborough.
Evelyn was a diligent and dedicated servant of the Lord who put Jesus first in her life. Her joy in life was to share God’s word with others.
Evelyn will be lovingly remembered and missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Sunday July 24 from 3-7 p.m. at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, (east of Kennedy) Agincourt. Funeral Service will be held On Monday July 25 at OneChurch.to (Agincourt Pentecostal), 2885 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough at 10:00 a.m.
Donations made in Evelyn’s memory to World Missions of Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada would be appreciated.
