Peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Sunday, July 3, 2022, Reta Eileen MacDonald (nee Campbell) passed away with her loving daughter and brother by her side. She was in her 74th year of Souris, PE. She is predeceased by her husband Peter “Pedie” MacDonald and will be forever loved by her daughter Alana Legere (Andrew) and grandsons Fergus and William.
Reta is survived by her dear siblings Anne, George (Linda), and James (Lynda) Campbell and will be lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Joan Chisholm and Eleanor Champion. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Zeta (nee Sutherland) Campbell, siblings Mary MacDonald, Jerry, John, Angus Campbell and 2 infant sisters.
The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care given to Reta during her time at the Souris Hospital. The kindness and compassion shown by Dr. Malone, Dr. Berrow and the entire nursing staff will always be remembered.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00am with interment to follow in the church cemetery. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Souris Legion after the funeral mass. If so desired, donations in memory of Reta can be made to the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Souris Hospital) or St. Mary’s Cemetery Fund.
