Obituary of Reno Vanraes
Peacefully, at Bobier Villa, Dutton on Sunday, August 7th, 2022, Reno Andrew Vanraes passed away and was welcomed home by his loving wife Jean (Falkins). Reno was a long-time resident and proud farmer in the West Elgin area. Reno and Jean were founding members of the Elgin International Club, a place they loved dearly. Many nights were spent dancing to the sounds of polka music as they enjoyed time with friends and family.
Lovingly remembered by his son Larry and his daughter Linda (Richard) McGahan. Proud grandfather of Gary Vanraes, Nicole Vanraes, Carrie Pavey, Christopher and Chad (Cheri) McGahan and Josh Vanraes. Also survived by many great grandchildren.
Brother of Remi and Danny (Pauline) Vanraes.
Predeceased by his son Robert and his brother Chris (Norma) Vanraes and his sister-in-law Yvonne Vanraes.
Friends and family are invited to gather together on Thursday, August 11th, 2022 at 11 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery, West Lorne for a farewell ceremony.
