Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rene (Irene) Briden on August 27th 2022, surrounded by family at the age of 73.
Rene married her best friend and husband, Hal Briden in 1970 and they went on to explore the world together. They raised two beautiful children, Kristian and Tyson Briden and later welcomed their grandchildren, the joys of their life, Tristan, Makyra, Nico Bear and Tyson Cruz.
Rene found loving friends at her golfer’s paradise in Indio, CA. The couple split their time between their homes in Magnetawan, ON and Indio, CA.
As the Patriarch/Matriarch of the family, Hal and Rene hosted an annual family reunion, endless family functions and are the glue that keeps the family together.
Rene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She had a sharp wit and a quick tongue and was warm and welcoming to all. When she wasn’t holding her golf club, she was holding her glass of wine. Whether watching the sunset by the lake or sitting in the sun room she was never without Hal, the love of her life.
She is survived by her husband, Hal, her children, Kristian and Tyson (Vanessa), her grandchildren, Tristan, Makyra, Bear and Cruz and large extended family. Predeceased by her parents, Tapper and Evelyn Gray and her siblings, Allan and Scott.
The Queen has fallen but will never be forgotten
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Rene Irene Briden July 29 1949 August 27 2022 (age 73)..
