Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on February 9, 2022 at the age of 73 years.
Loving husband to Elaine, with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage. Adored father to Steven (Ann-Marie) Bélanger and Denis (Jennifer Marier) Bélanger. Cherished grandfather to Kaitlyn Bélanger. Dear son to the late Norman and Glorianna Bélanger. Beloved brother to Jean Maurice (Patricia), Vincent (late Jeanne), late Jacques (Patricia), Luc (Amy), Marguerite (Martin) Schinkleshoek, Lucille (Henry) Barylewicz, Yvette (Norman) Caron and the late David. René will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and other family members.
René was a 3rd Degree member the Knights of Columbus 4375 Council Tecumseh. He was the Commissioner of the FNHL and retired from Chrysler after 40 ½ years of dedicated service.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Hospice of Windsor or Transition to Betterness would be appreciated by the family.
Reservations must be made and personal face coverings must be worn to attend the visiting on Friday February 11, 2022 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Families First, 1065 Lauzon Rd. E. Windsor (519-969-5841). Reservations must be made and personal face coverings must be worn to attend Mr Belanger’s funeral mass Saturday February 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Church (12233 Tecumseh Rd. E. Tecumseh).
