Obituary of Rena Marie Arbuckle
EGERTON – Rena Marie Arbuckle, RN, 85, Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou, formerly of Egerton, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 26, 2022, in the Home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Economy, she was a daughter of the late James and Muriel (Marsh) Chisholm. Rena was a graduate of the Aberdeen Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse with the Aberdeen Hospital for many years, retiring as supervisor of the sterilization department. Rena was a member of Sutherland’s River Presbyterian Church the IODE, New Glasgow. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Surviving are her daughter, Jane (Linda), Terrace, B.C.; Robert “Bob” (Danielle), Blue Mountain; grandchildren, Nicholas “Nick” (Jenn), Egerton; Nicole (Will) McGee, Egerton; Sidney and Jessie Arbuckle, Egerton; great-granddaughter, Emerson; great-grandsons, Bently and Nathan; sister, Geneva Chisholm, Pictou; brothers, Logan Chisholm, New Glasgow; George (Sylvia) Chisholm, Summerside, P.E.I.; Arthur (Marion) Chisholm, Enfield; sister-in-law, Donna Chisholm, Woodstock, Ont.; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph I. Arbuckle; brothers, Ronald, Sheldon and Emerson Chisholm.
The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Friday, September 30 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with Mr. John Reeves officiating. Interment will be in Telford Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Rena’s memory to Maritime Odd Fellows Home, Pictou.
