Rena D. Gibson Loy – age 74 of Mascot was born October 5, 1948 in Eidson, TN and departed this life on Monday, November 14, 2022, at her residence.
Preceded in death by parents, Enoch and Lula Bell Gibson; sisters, Betsy Porter, Barbara Jean Perry; three infant sisters; and brother, Enoch Edward Gibson.
Survived by husband of 43 years, Leroy Loy, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Tipton and husband William “Bill”; son, Charles Andrew “Andy” Loy; grandson, William Eugene “Geo” Tipton; sister, Margaret Begley and husband Cecil; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice.
The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Rutledge Pike Missionary Baptist Church with the funeral service at 4:00 PM with Rev. Dustyn Copeland and Rev. Doug Gibson officiating followed by the interment at the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Charles “Andy” Loy, Mathew Loy, Wendell Wayne Gibson, Brandon Wilson, William “Geo” Tipton, and Bill Porter.
