DUMANSKI, Rena Colleen (nee O’Brien) –
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that on November 24, 2022, at the age of 84, we had to say good-bye to our mother Rena. Beloved wife of Joseph Sr. for over 67 years.
Cherished mother of the late Steven (Sue), Ronnie (Karen), the late Carol, late Janet (Sam), Joseph Jr. (Norma), Richard and Robert (Sharon).
Grandmother of Roger Vienneau, Tabitha Vienneau, Jodi-Lynn McCreight, Aaron Reed, Joseph Skouris, John Folgia, Samantha Austin, Chrisie Dumanski, Sarah Maitland, Casey Fisher, Todd Deschamps and the late Joshua Dumanski. Great grandmother of 24 and great great grandmother of 3.
She was the daughter of the late Dennis and Veronica O’Brien. Survived by her brother Marty O’Brien (Canita) and predeceased by her brothers, Bud O’Brien (Maureen), Pete O’Brien (Nadine), and her sisters Ida Smart (Ried), Ellen King (Bucky) and Roberta Lambert (Clarence). Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
In Mom’s early years, she worked at the Plummer Hospital and the Separate School Board. Mom was a proud, selfless and caring woman, with a big smile and laugh that we are all going to miss immensely.
The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU at the Sault Area Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion provided to our mother during this time.
Also, special thank you to Cindy Dumanski and granddaughter Jodi-Lynn McCreight who helped out our mom in her later years.
As per our mom’s wishes, there will be no service and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home.
