Remi’s Obituary
MUISE, Remi A. – Age 88 of Saulnierville Station, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Saulnierville Stn, he was a son of the late George and Beatrice (Gaudet) Muise.
Remi moved to Ontario in his younger years where he found the love of his life, Lucille. They later moved back to Saulnierville Stn where they spent the rest of their lives together. He enjoyed nature through hunting, fishing and clamming. Remi embraced both his Métis and Acadian heritages. A gifted artist, he constructed canoes, kayaks, baskets and backpacks.
Remi is survived by his loving wife of almost 66 years, Lucille (Doucette), Saulnierville Stn; daughters, Michelle (Claude Thimot) Muise, Meteghan Stn; Renette Muise (Carl Boudreau), Kentville; brothers, Thomas (Lorraine), Saulnierville Stn; Louis, Middleton; sisters, Lottie Doucet, Saulnierville; Ruth (Ernest) Thibault, Saulnierville Stn; Marie Comeau, Saulnierville Stn; Flora Little, Yarmouth; Dora Muise, La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Leonard and Dominic; sister, Addie.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A public graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Saulnierville where burial will follow.
