It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rejeanne Danis (nee Gaudette) on May 25, 2022, with family and friends by her side. Warm thanks to staff at Cassellholme who were so kind and caring in her final days.
Rejeanne was born on April 26, 1929 in Warren Ontario to Raphael and Albina (nee Dupuis) Gaudette. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years Armand Danis. She is survived by her loving children Rene (Dick Gunstone), and Lynne (Scott Gilmour). She was blessed with 3 grandchildren, David (Janelle), Eric (predeceased) and Jonathan (Marie Andre). She had many great grandchildren, and her first great-great granddaughter was born May 15, 2022. Rejeanne and Armand made many friends during their 35 years of square dancing, travelling, and dancing their way through Canada and the U.S.A. Rejeanne was an exceptional seamstress and made all her square-dancing dresses. She was also a skilled knitter, and many sweaters were lovingly made for her children and grandchildren.
Rejeanne met her second love Arthur Armstrong (predeceased) in 1998. She was quickly welcomed by the Armstrong family and found a later in life daughter in Linda Armstrong (Lynda Ferguson), Linda’s children Jessica and Matthew, their children, and Arthur’s sisters Geraldine and Phylis (predeceased).
Rejeanne had a deep love of family and was dedicated to keeping us all close.
Rejeanne is predeceased by her parents Raphael and Albina Gaudette, siblings Gerald, Donald, Francoise (Bill Hayes), and Yvon (Lucille). Rejeanne leaves behind her brother Normand (Sharon).
A celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 at 1553 Weller Street in Sudbury on June 22, 2022 from 1pm to 5pm. (Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes)
