Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather and friend on Sunday August 7, 2022. Reginald Anstey age 76 years of Mount Pearl.
Predeceased by his loving daughter Michele Norman (2015) and nephew Christopher Snook (2021).
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories his devoted wife of 56 years Elizabeth; loving sons: Vince and Keith (Dana Mansfield); precious grandsons: Zachary Norman Jack Anstey and; son in law: Michael Norman; sister Barb (Robert – deceased) Toms; brother-in-law James Snook; nieces and nephews: Craig Toms, Sherri (Steve) Toms-Spratt. Pamela (Gerald) Rideout, Patricia (Jason) snook, Paul (Annette) snook and April (John Simms) Snook, extended family, many co-workers he had worked with throughout his life and a large circle of friends.
Reg will be remembered for being a strong leader in the labor movement and a passionate champion of the fishery and for playing such an important role in the province’s social and economic development but most of all we will remember him being a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.
At Reg’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl on Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 2:00 -4:00 pm and 7:00 -9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 am from St. Peter’s Parish, Ashford Drive. To virtually attend the service please, visit www.barretts.ca and follow the link provide.
