Red (Glenna) Wilson
1930-2022
Wilson, Glenna
“Red”
Born December 17, 1930 in Mount Forest, Red and her family
moved to Guelph in 1934 where she lived out her days in her beloved
town. She passed away at Morriston Park Nursing Home on Wednesday,
February 9, 2022, in her 92nd year. She joins
her beloved husband, Cal (2003). She was the proud and loving mother
of Jay Wilson (Rachel), Callie Santin (Paul), the late Shane Wilson
(2015) and stepmother of Brad Marquette (Blanca). Red was the
cherished grandmother of Taylor Wilson, Gabrielle Santin, Madeleine
Wilson, Hunter Wilson, Elijah Santin, Blake Wilson, Sarah Patmore and
Nathan Patmore. She will be fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law
Christine Wilson and by many nieces, nephews and extended
family.
Red was an amazing storyteller, musician, artist, lover of
food and travel and knew how to throw an epic Christmas Eve party. She
lit up any room she entered with her beautiful green eyes, fiery red
hair and her unforgettable smile. The family wishes to thank
Red’s ‘Morriston Park Nursing Home
family’ for all of their loving care, kindness and
compassion over the last nine years. Cremation has taken place. The
family will be having a private gathering at
GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre
& Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street,
Guelph. If desired, memorial contributions
may be made to the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and
Wellington – Free to Grow program www.childrensfoundation.org/programs/free-to-grow
