Obituary
Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at her daughter’s home in Dildo with her family by her side on August 7, 2022, Rea Mary Hendry, aged 72 years.
Rea retired from the hospitality industry 2010. She was a member of the Orange Lodge and the Anglican Church.
Predeceased by her mom and dad, Emily and Orlando Smith.
Leaving to mourn and to celebrate her life are her loving husband, Robert; daughter, Laurie Ann (Randy Guy); grandchildren, Cecile (Stephen) Morris, Aura (Chris) Burden, JJ (Tina) Cooper, Garison (Alyssa) Cooper, and Tyanne Cooper; great-grandchildren, Dayanara, Nevaeh, Xavier, Isabella, Greyson, Zyla, and Quintin; sisters, Joy (Bill) Pryce, Brenda (Wade) Parsons, and Lorraine (Terry) Young; brother, Claude (Joan) Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Special thank-you to Mom’s nurse, Jeanell Gushue who gave Mom and our family much love and support. Her caring ways were very much appreciated.
Special thank-you to Dianne Brown for her help and support while Mom was at her home in Minnedosa, Manitoba.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo on Thursday, August 11, 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm.
A service to celebrate Rea’s life will be held on Friday, August 12 at 2:00 pm from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo. The family kindly requests that masks be worn for both the visitation and the service. Livestreaming will be available through this link fb.me/e/3w42oazX8 for those unable to attend in person.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Rea’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
