Obituary of Raymond Meehan
Meehan, Raymond Richard – 75, of Mantua, NS, passed away on April 22, 2022, at home with family by his side. Born in Amherst on January 11th, 1947, he was the son of the late Daniel and Hazel (Bell) Meehan.
Raymond was an electronics Technician by trade. Raymond was best known for his exceptional gardening and handyman skills. He truly was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed planting his garden, working in his woodshop and teaching his grandchildren his special skills.
Raymond will be missed by his sons, Tony (Darlene), Poplar Grove; Shane (Leanne), Mantua; grandchildren Brendan (Jayme), Windsor; Katie, Poplar Grove; Richard, Mantua; Markus, Mantua; Great grandchildren Brooklin and Leo, Windsor. Raymond is also survived by his brothers Bobby, Ontario and Billy, Amherst; sisters Dorothy (Bobby) Fitzgerald, Amherst; Holly Meehan, Amherst; and Margo (Peter) Gould, Amherst as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Raymond is predeceased by his loving wife Jeannine, brother Gary and sister Ellen.
A visitation and reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 009, Windsor, NS on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm to celebrate the life of the late Raymond Meehan.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Raymond’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
