Raymond Neilson
May 8, 1943 – December 12, 2022
Pasadena, NL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Leslie Neilson announce his passing on December 12th, 2022, at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit in his 80th year. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Glenn (Jetta), Leslie (Cori), Hilding Raymond, and Krista; grandchildren: Joshua, Matthew, Ryan, and Aubrey; siblings: Grant (Shirley), Barbara (Derm), Linda, Karl (Janice), Gerald Hilding; in-laws: Bernard (Rosalind) Lewis, James (Barbara) Lewis and David (Ivy) Lewis; Kathy Quinlan and Charles Phillips; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Ray is predeceased by his wife Evelyn; siblings Eric (Bud), Donald, Greta, and Olga; and parents Gösta Erik and Barbara.
We are appreciative of the care and support from the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital and the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit. With gratitude, we especially want to thank Mary Courtney for her support of Ray as a caregiver and friend.
At Ray’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal visitation or service at this time. There will be a service and burial in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made to Inclusion Canada Newfoundland and Labrador (www.inclusioncanadanl.ca/) or the charity of one’s choice.
