Raymond Anthony Yetman 1948 2022

Obituary of Raymond Anthony Yetman
Halifax, age 74 of Halifax, died at home on December 28, 2022. Born on June 6, 1948, he was the son of the late Frederick and Joan (Whittle) Yetman. He is survived by his daughter Krista Pearson and son-in-law, Tim, and beloved grandsons, Kai and Rhys, who currently reside in Ottawa; uncle Jack Whittle (Carol); younger sister, D. Alana Robinson; niece Paula Robinson; grand-nephews Scott Robinson (Shaina) and Jonathan Russell (Madison); and great-grand-nieces and nephew, Destiny, Cohen and Josie.
Raymond worked a full career as a federal government employee until his retirement. In the 1970s and 80s, he lived his passion for music by playing in bands in Halifax, primarily on keyboards and back-up vocals. He expressed satisfaction in passing along his love of music to his daughter and grandsons, who most recently played piano for him on Christmas day.
Tremendous gratitude to Alana for her support, especially over the past few months while his physical health was in rapid decline. Also, appreciation to his doctors for their care, particularly Dr. Grandy and Dr. Morrison.
A small, private service will be held at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home on January 4, 2023.
