1944-2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Raymond Poirier of Riverview, which occurred at The Dr. George L.
Dumont University Hospital on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Borne in
Caplan, PQ, he was the late Alfred and Leonila (Babin)
Poirier.
Raymond had been a professional salesman for most of his
working career in his earlier years he was a territory manager for
Viau Cookies and later sales rep for Scott Paper, yet he might have
been best know as a familiar face at Costco for serving demos. During
his career he alongside his wife, Lucette were able to travel to many
parts of Canada as well as a trip to France.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 55 years, Lucette
Poirier (Desroches), daughters; Isabelle Poirier (Eric Van Lochem) and
Janique Poirier(Jean Michaud), sons; Stephane Poirier (Tracey
MacDonald) and Martin Poirier (Jodie), sisters; Andree Poirier (Robert
Kavanagh) and Suzanne Poirier, brother, Jean-Marc (Ginette),
grandchildren; Miguel, Nicholas, Claudia, Abel, Parker and Grace,
great grandchild ,Charlotte and Nova as well as several nieces and
nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters,
Alexandra and Gisele.
Respecting his wishes cremation has taken place from
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview (869-2007). Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would
be appreciated.
