Obituary
It is with grace and peacefulness that Ray Vincent passed away on July 18, 2022, with family by his side at Andy’s House, a beautiful hospice in his home Muskoka. Born on May 12, 1937, Ray retired as Elliot Lake Secondary School’s Principal, inspiring so many to believe they could do, have or be anything they aspired to. Advisor, mentor and loyal friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He married his soulmate Valerie (ne Snow) on August 12th, 1967 raising three beautiful children with loving guidance. Always available to present and debate with humour and positivity, even the most challenging of life’s experiences.
Loving Dad to his daughters Michelle and Andree. Adored Grandad of his six grandchildren, Mikayla and her husband Joe, Brady, Marlee, Logan, Simon and Liam. Entertained by his two great grandchildren Cole and Ashton. Always a snuggle and a lap for pups Charlie and Lilly.
Ray welcomed anyone and everyone into his home and treated them like family. As the eldest of ten he will be greatly missed by his loving siblings Rolande, Len (Jeanine), (d)Jeanine (Claude), Henri, Roger (Lynda), (d)Sue (Aurele), Gisele (Doug), Gaetane (Pierre), Ginette (Alain) and their children. He will also be greatly missed by Valerie’s family (d)Sheila (Mike), Ron (Janet), Vivien (Ross) and their children.
As per Ray’s wishes a celebration of his amazing life will be held on Saturday, August 6th, 2022, from 2pm to 6pm at the Peninsula Recreation Centre in Minett where story-sharing, music, food and beverages will be enjoyed by all, welcoming all who would love to join.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Raymond Lucien Vincent May 12 1937 July 18 2022 (age 85)..
