Obituary for
Raymond Arthur “Ray” Friend
On April 23, 2022, Raymond Arthur Friend of Sangudo, AB peacefully passed away at the age of 91 years, with his loving family by his side.
Ray is survived by his children, Danny (Linda), Tammy (Bill) Coulson, Wanda Rae (Joe) Duplessie and Lawrence; grandchildren, Rachel (Jason), Brad (Tara), Cory (Amy), Ashley, Dustin, Chelsey (Jeff), Tyler (Stacey) and Adam; great-grandchildren, Addison, Ainsley, Nova, Jade, Aaliyah, Bryson, Bentley, Aavenley, Haylie, Aubree, Jordyn and Kenzie; and brother-in-law, Matt Zane. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Fran; parents, Ralph and Jean; sister, Noreen (Larry), Sylvia (John) and Margaret.
Thank you to the staff of Pleasant View Lodge and the doctors and staff of the Mayerthorpe Healthcare Centre for the wonderful care shown to Ray and the family.
A Private Funeral Service will be held at the Sangudo United Church with Reverend Ruth Lotholz officiating. Private interment will take place at South Park Cemetery.
