It is with deep sadness the family of Raymond Bolduc of St. Albert, AB wish to announce his passing on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 at the age of 92. Ray leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Pauline; his four children: Marc (Kirby), Mike (Debbie), JoAnne (Steve) Klask and Paul; as well as eight grandchildren: Kyle (Jericho), Mitchell (Brandy), Tayller (Caitlin), Maxwell (Julie), Kevin, Courtanne, Stephanie and Rashell; as well as great-grandchildren Abigail, Jace, Ava, Linden, Marc, Rae and Summer. He also leaves behind many extended family members as well as his sisters Therese, Lorraine, Jeannine and Celine. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Rajeanne, Maurice, Fernand, Antoine, and granddaughter Kayla.
Ray was born in La Durantaye, Bellechasse, Quebec to parents Eudore and Dorilla (Roy) together with three brothers and five sisters. He came to Alberta in 1953 and worked as a carpenter building schools throughout rural Alberta. In 1967 he became Project Manager for the University of Alberta student housing development and retired from the University in 1987. Following his retirement Ray and Pauline enjoyed many trips on various cruises and tours throughout Europe and the Caribbean.
Ray loved woodworking and the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and various activities in which he could ride his many recreational vehicles over the years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the lake and made many fond memories over the years at the cabin.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Dr. W. Mair as well as the kind and compassionate staff at the Citadel Care Centre in St. Albert. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Parkinson’s Association or another charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
