Obituary of Ralph Van Dusen
Van Dusen: Joseph “Ralph” Charles “Bud” –
A resident of Chatham, Ralph Van Dusen passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with his loving family by his side on September 14, 2022 at the age of 81.
Born in Chatham Township, Ralph was the son of Oliver and Pearl (nee Travis) Van Dusen. Beloved husband of 60 years to Diane Van Dusen (nee de Kievit).
Dear father to Colleen and Todd McGivern. Proud grandfather to Tara McGivern (Josh Sterling), Tyler McGivern (Kaitlyn Van Minnen); proud great-grandfather to Atlas Joseph Sterling.
Survived by his brother Marvin Van Dusen (Nancy), Marlowe Van Dusen (Patricia), Douglas Van Dusen (Melanie); sister Gail Voogt (David); brother Blaine Van Dusen (Barb). Predeceased by his sister’s Annette Ladd, Emily Jones; brother Roger Van Dusen and sister Brenda Crosby.
Ralph will also be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Ralph was a retired employee of Oxford Automotive. He was also the Owner/Operator of Van Dusen Lawn Care for over 50 years.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Ralph’s life will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Ralph to the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
