Ralph Patrick Myatt 1966 2022

Ralph Patrick Myatt
Age 56
Little Dover, Guysborough
County

Passed away at home on Monday, July
25th, 2022 surrounded by his family and
friends. Ralph was the son of the late Lawrence and Catherine (Munroe)
Myatt, Little Dover. He was a loving husband, father, puppy, brother,
uncle and devoted friend to many.
Ralph loved being surrounded with his family especially his
grandchildren, nieces and nephews, whom he loved to spoil with treats
and torment whenever they visited. He was also such an outgoing,
social butterfly who was a ball of fun to be around.
He enjoyed card plays, boating, tinkering in his garage and
Saturday night get togethers with family and friends in his
brother’s garage. His favourite pastime was going out
driving whether alone in his community or on an adventure exploring
different communities with his family and niece Claire, going down any
back road they could find along the way, always finding someone to
stop and chat with and making lifelong friends, who is always kept in
contact with either in person or by phone. Ralph was a big-hearted guy
and would quickly give you anything he had especially if you needed it
or liked it, no matter if he himself had to do without.
He was a jack of all trades, able to fix anything put in
front of him and if you didn’t know, he knew. He worked in
both construction and carpentry for various companies including
companies owned by his Uncles Alcide Myatt, (Construction) and Gerard
Myatt (Carpentry) and other companies such as VanZutphen, Nova
Construction, Lindsay Construction and before his illness with Primary
Lateral Sclerosis (PLS). He worked for Alva Construction as well as
doing carpentry work on his own.
Ralph was a member of St Agnes Parish, Little Dover,
Carpenters Union Local 1388 and a former member of Strait Area Ground
Search and Rescue (SAR) having worked on the Swiss Air disaster off
Peggy’s Cove. He was also a former member of the Coast Guard
Auxiliary.
