Ralph’s Obituary
MILLER, Ralph George – 87 of Jordan Ferry passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Thursday March 3, 2022. Born July 7, 1934 he was a son of the late George and Susie Miller of Jordan Ferry.
Ralph worked as a truck driver and logger at the Woodworkers Saw Mill, he also worked for Nova Scotia Power cutting out power lines and his last work was at CFS Shelburne Base as a labourer from which he retired.
Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather who was liked by all. Dad had a lot of friends, and he loved nature, watching birds and any animals, going deer hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, daughter Mary (Meryl) Buchanan (East Green Harbour), Sons; Murray (friend Wendy) , Karl (and friend Jen) both of Jordan Ferry, sister Margaret (Nelson) Davidson of Oakville, Ontario., 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law Lorna Hallett of West Green Harbour and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by grandson, Corey Buchanan and his parents in law, Vincent and Clara Hallett.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. Cremation has taken place and as per Ralph’s request there will be a private family service held at a later date. Donations in Ralph’s name may be made to a charity of choice and on-line condolences may be left for the family at www.huskilson.net
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the doctors and nursing staff at Yarmouth Hospital for the compassionate care given to Ralph.
