God called Raffaele peacefully on February 7, 2022 at the age of 93 surrounded by his family. He was a bright light in this world and will be deeply missed by many. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be forever loved by his wife Maria and cherished by his children Giuseppe, Frank (Kathie), Patricia (Stephen) and Tony (Ettsa) and grandchildren, Joshua (Stephanie), Samantha, Sabrina (Sergio), Adam, Mario and Elena and great grandchildren, Olivia, Amelia, Charles, James and Nicolas (in heaven). He will be greatly missed by his sisters Angelina Recchia and Clelia Capizzano and in-laws Andrea Coia, Giovanni and Rita Belmonte, Frank and Delia Serpe, Salvatore and Giulia Belmonte, Tony Barberio and his many nieces and nephews.
Anyone that knew Raffaele loved him for his kind, generous and tender spirit. The world has lost a good soul.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin Street, Toronto) on Thursday, February 10th, 2022 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend but must reserve their time slot. Please click the blue RSVP button below to select your time slot.
Funeral Mass will take place at St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Avenue West, at Dufferin Street) on Friday, February 11th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. PRIVATE ENTOMBMENT will take place at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst Street, Toronto.)
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto.
