Raegan Reanne Smith Perez Sunday August 7th 2022

Mrs. Raegan Reanne Smith of Spruce View, Alberta went to be with her Lord and saviour at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the age of 42 years. Raegan was born September 27, 1979 in Eston, Saskatchewan. Raegan lived for most of her childhood in Blackfalds, Alberta and attended school in Blackfalds and Lacombe, Alberta. In 2006, she was elated to graduate with a Bachelor of Education from Canadian University College (Burman University) in Lacombe. In 2002, Raegan met the love of her life, Brent Smith, and the two were married in Red Deer on July 16, 2005. Raegan and Brent were thrilled to welcome their son, Cole, on April 11, 2008 and the family was complete with the arrival of their son, Owen, on September 20, 2010. Their family moved to the Spruce View area in the fall of 2012 and began to build their dreams on an acreage just to the east of town. Raegan was a devoted mother to her boys and loving wife to Brent. Her family meant the world to her. In addition to organizing camping, hockey and swimming for her sons, Raegan loved being in her garden and relished watching it grow. In 2014, Raegan began teaching Kindergarten at Spruce View School, and was employed there until her passing. She had always wanted to be a teacher and was elated to pursue her chosen career in her local community. Raegan will be forever cherished by her husband, Brent and her sons, Cole and Owen. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Linda Collinge (Terry), her brothers, Kelvin Perez and Tyson Perez (Melissa), and her sister, Jolyn Perez, as well as grandmother, Edith Perez. Raegan also leaves to mourn her birth father, Melvin Weinberger (Joanne). Raegan will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her in-laws, Sharyl and Ron Smith, sister-in-law, Karen (David) and brother-in-law, Greg (Connie) along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and treasured friends. Raegan was predeceased by her father, Joe Perez, in 2010. Raegan rests peacefully in the arms of God and is looking down on all of us with her beautiful smile and strength. A Celebration of Raegan’s Life will be held at the Innisfail Alliance Church, 4804 – 42 Avenue, Innisfail, Alberta on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. A Private Family Interment will follow. 1. To Brent, the boys, Linda, Kelvin, Tyson and Jolyn and all the extended family,

Our thoughts of love and prayers for God’s comfort are with you. Linda, we saw your entire family grow up and as your neighbours, we enjoyed each one of the kids, including Raegan, As a young mom she thoughtfully kept us up to date with her growing family each Christmas.
God’s peace rest on you through this time of grieving. May His support come to you in many miraculous ways.
    Grant and Marlene Pavely
