It is with great sadness that the family of Rachel Blanche Janveau announce her passing on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Lionel Janveau. Born on December 8, 1937, to Adrien and Louise (nee Violette) Brunet. Loving mother of Michael Janveau (predeceased), Louise Williams (Tim), Daniel Janveau (Shawna) and Vincent Janveau (Shelly). Loving grandmother of Kiel Williams (Holly), Shawn Williams (Connie), Shazia Janveau and great grandmother to Jett. She will be sorely missed by countless relatives and dear friends. Rachel was the epitome of grace to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her sparkling smile, twinkling eyes, and her ability to find the light even in the darkest of days. A heartfelt thank you to Dennis and Cheryl and the many friends of her congregation for their caring and compassion throughout this journey. Thank you to the Community Care Team and the staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their loving care and support. Words can’t convey our gratitude. Special thanks to Debbie O’Bomsawin, Amanda Mainville and Claudette Last-Janveau for their constant love, support, and presence through this difficult time. Our pain may fade, our love is forever. “Grief is the last act of love we have to give to those we loved where there is deep grief, there was great love”. In lieu of flowers donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated. At the family’s request, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation with entombment at the Civic Cemetery on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 2pm. There will be a celebration of Rachel’s life at a later date.
