PINKOSKI Morley June 15 2022

Morley Pinkoski
October 20, 1945 to June 15, 2022
“Happy trails to you, until we meet again.” Morley Pinkoski has now died and is deeply loved, mourned and missed by his wife, Doris and his son, Keith. He will be fondly remembered by the many others whose lives he touched throughout his life as the consummate educator.
An exemplary teacher and principal, Morley enthusiastically encouraged all his students to do and be their best in all areas of their learning in a firm, fair and friendly manner.
“Whatever you do – do it well”, was the motto used by Morley in all aspects of his life with whole-hearted dedication and enthusiasm. This motto was a theme in all Morley’s activities, whether it be a summer job x-raying pipeline welds in Boucherville, Quebec; or surveying for lead and zinc along cut lines in Pine Point, Northwest Territories. Morley also demonstrated this same motto while working with students, organizing school science fairs and creating a small business selling barn wood frames.
Relating to, and engaging anyone in conversation while doing his best to focus on the lighter side of life, was always apparent while in the presence of Morley. He loved to share the knowledge and wisdom gained from all his experiences and encounters with others. Very precious stories came from teaching at a Maori Boys Boarding School in New Zealand.
Always a learner himself, Morley challenged himself as a member of Toastmasters International. Always the teacher, even when his brilliant mind was afflicted by Alzheimer’s Disease; Morley was still teaching those near to him the skills of patience, tolerance, acceptance, and the art of living in the moment.
Morley deeply loved his wife, Doris, and his two sons, Colin and Keith. Devastated by the death of his eldest son, Colin, Morley grieved with quiet dignity.
Morley is also survived by his brother Larry (Valerie) Pinkoski, and their family, his brother Gerald Pinkoski, his sister Judy Davis, and her family. He is also predeceased by his parents Victor and Jean Pinkoski, his sister Karen Pinkoski and his brother-in-law Gerry Davis.
Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the caring and compassionate staff of Villa Marguerite Seniors Community in Edmonton, Copper Sky Seniors Community in Spruce Grove, and the Good Samaritan Care Center in Stony Plain.
Remembering a full life well lived, we will hold Morley tenderly in our hearts.
